-Why cork leather is sustainable-
1. Cork absorbs about 3-5 times more CO2 than usual to regenerate its bark, thus contributing to CO2 reduction even during periods when it cannot be harvested.
2. Cork is not a one-time harvest; it can be produced by simply stripping the bark, eliminating the need to cut down the tree itself.
3. Cork oak has a regeneration cycle of about 9 years and a lifespan of 150-200 years, allowing approximately 15-18 harvests from a single tree.
Sewing: Each item is carefully produced one by one at a workshop in Asakusabashi, Japan.
