How to care for vegan leather items
If it gets dirty
Wet a towel with warm water, wring it out thoroughly, and wipe off the dirt. Afterward, gently wipe dry with a soft towel.
＜If water wiping is not effective＞
If the above method does not remove the dirt, dampen a cloth with a diluted neutral detergent, wring it out thoroughly, and gently wipe the soiled area.
Then, wipe off the detergent with a damp cloth and dry it with a dry cloth.
＜Precautions for care＞
・Vigorous rubbing may damage the material.
・Leaving dirt for a long time may make it difficult to remove. We recommend cleaning it as soon as possible.
・Please refrain from using the following items, as they may cause fading, discoloration, or deterioration.
- Alcohol, disinfectant wipes
- Alkaline or acidic detergents
- Bleach
- Thinner, benzine, etc.
＜Common Issue: White Stains＞
White stains may become noticeable during use.
These white stains may be caused by cosmetic ingredients such as sunscreen, hand cream, or foundation adhering to the surface.
In such cases, please try the cleaning methods described above (wiping with water or using a neutral detergent).
Secret to preventing product degradation 1
Regularly wipe away dirt and excess moisture to keep it clean, and it will remain in beautiful condition for a long time.

Regarding the use of sprays for natural leather
As plant-based vegan leather is "water resistant," there is no need to apply waterproofing sprays or creams, unlike genuine leather.
*If you choose to use commercially available sprays for natural leather, we recommend testing them on an inconspicuous area first. Also, depending on compatibility, it may accelerate the deterioration of the material, so please use with extreme caution.
About basic warranty and care services
If a defect or malfunction occurs within 3 months of delivery under normal use, we will repair or replace the product free of charge.

Storing vegan leather items
- To prevent deterioration, avoid high temperatures and direct sunlight.
- We recommend storing in a cool, well-ventilated place.
- Wiping the surface clean before storage will slow down deterioration and allow for longer use.
Properties of vegan leather
It is generally said that inexpensive synthetic leather products on the market may peel after 2 to 3 years of use.
However, the "apple leather" handled by LOVST TOKYO uses high-quality polyurethane resin, so it can generally be used safely for 5 years. (※1)
Furthermore, "aplena," the domestic apple leather, uses polycarbonate-based resin among polyurethanes, and has achieved a 10-year pass standard in the jungle test (※2) which measures the degree of degradation.
However, due to the nature of polyurethane, there is a possibility of damage (hydrolysis, etc.) due to aging after long-term storage, so please check the condition before use.
※1 This may vary depending on how it is used.
※2 The jungle test is an accelerated degradation test that evaluates the service life of soft leather itself by creating a room with artificial humidity of 95% and a room temperature of 70 degrees Celsius, and then placing the soft leather to accelerate its degradation.

About color fading and color transfer
LOVST TOKYO uses materials that are resistant to fading and color transfer.
However, please be aware that color may transfer to other garments if wet, or due to friction or perspiration. We recommend exercising caution when wearing light-colored clothes or socks.
