LOVST TOKYO visualizes the CO2 (carbon dioxide) emitted during the manufacturing process.
We aim to reduce the unavoidable CO2 emissions from our business to zero, and eventually to negative, through "greenhouse gas reduction activities."
Furthermore, LOVST TOKYO not only focuses on its own business but also looks at the entire industry based on the concept of decoupling*¹, calculating the difference in environmental impact by replacing product manufacturing with plant-derived synthetic and artificial leather.
Here, we report on our initiatives and results towards carbon offsetting*² in 2025, and the social impact of decoupling.
*¹ Decoupling is the idea of maintaining consumption while reducing the environmental burden, effectively separating the two.
*² Carbon offsetting is the idea of directly or indirectly absorbing "greenhouse gases," including carbon dioxide, emitted in one place through human economic activities and daily life, by engaging in reduction activities such as afforestation, forest conservation, and clean energy projects.
[2025] LOVST TOKYO's Carbon Footprint
-
CO2 emissions from product manufacturing
In 2025, the CO2 emissions from LOVST TOKYO's manufacturing processes throughout the year amounted to 37,669kg.
-
Donation to the tree-planting organization "more trees"
Through our loyalty program "LT-SEED," 10% of shopping points that go unused for one year are donated to "more trees," an organization that plants trees.
As a result, we were able to donate 46,620 yen last year.
In addition, we were able to raise a total of 71,822 yen in donations for the same organization through offline events and survey campaigns.
-
Planted 108 cedar trees
Last year's donation of 118,442 yen to "more trees" is equivalent to planting 118 cedar trees.
Considering that one cedar tree can reduce 302 kg of CO2, in 2025 we were able to contribute to a CO2 reduction of approximately 35,636 kg.
*Calculated based on the CO2 sequestration of one 40-year-old cedar tree being 302 kg.
LOVST TOKYO's CO2 emissions for 2025 were:
37,699kg (emissions during manufacturing) - 35,636kg (reduction from tree planting) = 2,063kg
Social impact on the entire industry

Assuming LOVST TOKYO manufactured its products sold in 2025 using conventional leather (cowhide), the CO2 emissions would be 84,875kg.
This means that by manufacturing and selling products made with "plant-based synthetic and artificial leather" in the fashion industry, LOVST TOKYO was able to offer a choice that leads to a CO2 reduction of 47,176kg.
In 2025, thanks to all our users, we were able to advance our business activities with the aim of creating products with a lower environmental impact.
Thank you so much for always empathizing with our vision and providing your warm support.
In 2026, we will continue to prioritize reducing CO2 emissions and creating a social impact on the industry, striving to become an even more sustainable brand.
We look forward to your continued support.
