LOVST TOKYO visualizes the CO2 (carbon dioxide) emitted during the manufacturing process.
We aim to reduce the unavoidable CO2 emissions from our business to zero, and eventually negative, through "greenhouse gas reduction activities."
Furthermore, LOVST TOKYO not only focuses on its own business but also looks at the entire industry based on the concept of decoupling*1, calculating the difference in environmental impact by replacing product manufacturing with plant-derived synthetic leather.
Here, we report on our initiatives and results for carbon offsetting*2 in 2024, and the social impact of decoupling.
*1 Decoupling is the idea of reducing environmental impact while maintaining consumption, i.e., separating the two.
*2 Carbon offsetting is the idea of directly or indirectly absorbing "greenhouse gases," such as carbon dioxide, emitted in one place through human economic activities or daily life, by engaging in reduction activities through afforestation, forest conservation, or clean energy projects.
[2024] LOVST TOKYO's Carbon Footprint
-
CO2 emissions from product manufacturing
In 2024, the CO2 emissions from LOVST TOKYO's manufacturing throughout the year totaled 23,700kg.
-
LT-SEED Program
In our "LT-SEED" loyalty program, any shopping points that haven't been used for one year are automatically donated to organizations that plant trees*.
Through this system, we were able to donate 32,622 yen last year.
*The point system is currently suspended due to a renewal. We plan to resume it within 2025.
-
Plant 32 cedar trees
Last year's donation of 32,622 yen to the tree-planting organization is equivalent to planting 32 cedar trees.
Assuming that one cedar tree can reduce 302kg of CO2, we were able to contribute to a CO2 reduction of 9,664kg in 2024.
*Calculated based on a 40-year-old cedar tree absorbing 302kg of CO2.
LOVST TOKYO's CO2 emissions in 2024 were as follows:
23,700kg (emissions from manufacturing) - 9,664kg (reduction from tree planting) = 14,036kg
This was the resulting figure.
Social impact on the entire industry

Assuming that the products sold by LOVST TOKYO in 2024 were manufactured using general leather (cowhide), the CO2 emissions would be 53,146kg.
This means that by manufacturing and selling products using "plant-based synthetic leather" in the fashion industry, LOVST TOKYO was able to offer an option that leads to a CO2 reduction of 29,446kg.
Thanks to all our users, we were able to continue our business activities in 2024 with the goal of creating products with less environmental impact.
Thank you very much for always empathizing with our vision and for your warm support!
In 2025, we will continue to focus on reducing CO2 emissions and creating a social impact on the industry, aiming to become an even more sustainable brand.
Last year, we renewed the LT-SEED program, which temporarily halted the donation function to organizations that plant trees. In 2025, we plan to resume this system and make improvements so that we can reduce even more CO2 than last year.
We appreciate your continued support in 2025!
- Report on Other Donations -
At LOVST TOKYO, we not only donate to tree-planting organizations for "carbon offsetting," but also to organizations that carry out activities for the global environment and animals.
Here, we would like to report on the donations made possible by your support in 2024.
Thank you again for your overwhelming support!
